CyberHive announces groundbreaking €4.9m EU project

Sarah Blundell

CyberHive is delighted to be part of this exciting €4.9m Horizon Europe project; working on ground breaking technology that advances the state of the art with excellent colleagues at PQShield, Codasip, Eurescom GmbH, eShard and Bundeswehr University Munich. Delivering hardware root of trust backed post quantum cryptography, this project will give real world applications as a model to show how to securely manage the transition to the Post-Quantum world.

As CyberHive’s CTO David Blundell says “We’re extending secure boot beyond the initial power-on moment. The demonstrators will continuously attest trust status across the endpoint-to-cloud chain, automatically responding to supply chain threats via SBOM integration, blocking data transmission if a CVE appears or policy changes flag a compromised component.”

In the press release, we include the 🔑 Key hashtaginnovations:
• A Hybrid Root of Trust integrating CHERI-enabled RISC-V processors for hardware-enforced memory safety.
• Hybrid post-quantum/traditional (PQ/T) 🔐cryptographic cores, ensuring resilience and compliance with emerging EU guidance from ANSSI and BSI.
• Continuous attestation demonstrators capable of detecting and automatically responding to supply-chain threats in real time via SBOM integration and Zero-Trust Network Access frameworks.
